Ethical Standards

We will conduct ourselves in a responsible manner during all Kinship activities and interactions with our mentor.

We will help maintain a safe environment by preventing and reporting any suspected occurrences of child abuse or neglect, whether physical or emotional, to the appropriate authorities and Kinship staff.

We will respect the privacy of our mentor and other program participants. We agree to keep all personal information shared within the Kinship relationship completely confidential. This information will not be discussed with family members, friends, or others outside of the Kinship program context.

Furthermore, we will not use our relationship with the mentor or our knowledge of the organization for personal profit for ourselves, family, friends, or outside interests.
We will respect the rights and personal boundaries of the Kinship mentor above our own personal needs and interests.


In signing this agreement, we acknowledge that we have read the Ethical Standards Statement and agree to its contents. We understand that if these standards are breached, the incident will be researched and proper action will be taken, which may include removal from the program.
